About Portland Driving School

Short History

Portland Driving School is an established business that was set up by Ron Smith in 1966. Rons calm easy going approach and honesty was the key to the schools success.
The business is now run by Rons son Ashley who qualified as an instructor in 1987.

Instructors

The DSA regularly check the quality of tuition for all driving instructors, and our staff have all reached the highest grade possible (grade 6).
You can expect a high level of tuition to help you reach test standard with as few lessons as possible.

The cars

You can drive either a Ford Fiesta zetec or Toyota Yaris, both of which are fitted with dual controls and air conditioning for your safety and comfort. We use these vehicles because they are easy to drive, have good all round visibility and will adjust to suit drivers of any height.
